The current governor of IMO State Rochas Okorocha has accused the leadership of the All progressive congress (APC) of witch hunting him, stating that the evil he feared in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has befallen him ten times in his current party APC.
Rochas has made this statement during a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
Okorocha lamented that the national leader of the APC Adams Oshiomohole which he installed have conspired with some leaders of the APC to bring him down and inflict political machinations against him.
“What is painful is that Adams Oshiomohole that I literally put into this position, I never asked him to do any favour. All I requested was for him to do what is right. The fact that he will turn and do evil is totally unacceptable.
“The party I helped formed will treat me in this manner is rather unfortunate. The evil I feared in PDP has has befallen me 10 times in APC”
“I hate injustice”he said .
The governor described his ordeal with INEC over the delay in the issuance of his certificate of return.
He made claim that the electoral body does not have the right to withhold his certificate of return.
When asked if he feels President Buhari was behind his ordeal, Okorocha replied “No, I don’t think president Buhari is behind this.
The governor also vowed not to leave the party, despite alleged moves by some of the leaders of the party to frustrate him.
