The Buhari-led government is still yet to nominate his ministers after two months of inauguration to his second tenure, the “Next Level”.
The elected Nigerian president, Mohammadu Buhari has revealed that he is under tremendous pressure to name ministers for his second term in office.
The President said that most if his ministers from his first tenure were unknown to him. Buhari said he had to accept their names and recommendation from his party APC.
The President revealed the news on Thursday night, 11 July while chatting with State House correspondents, after dinning with principal officers of the National Assembly. The Cable reports.
He said ” I am very much aware about it and I am under tremendous pressure on it.”
” the last cabinet which I had, most of them a majority of them I didn’t know. I had to accept their names and recommendation from the party. I worked with them for three and the half years.”
The Senate President announced that the Senate will receive the list of the ministerial nominees from President Buhari before Friday, July 12.
