The Former First Lady of Nigeria Dame Patience Jonathan, has struck a deal to release her 200-bed hotel located in Abuja as Covid-19 isolation and treatment center, according to a report by The Nation.
The hotel is believed to be Worth about N2bn, its under interim forfeiture secured by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at the court on April 30, 2018.
It was learned that the former First Lady Patience Jonathan struck the deal with Aisha Buhari which led to her release of the hotel under litigation, for use by the government at this critical time.
Mrs Buhari through her pet project, the Future Assured Program, entered into separate agreements which Mrs Dame and the ministry of Health to convert the hotel into Covid-19 treatment center, according to The Nation.
The hotel will be managed by the Federal Capital Territory Covid-19 committee.
A source said Madam Jonathan said its time to shun politics, that she will do everything to help the country that has also given her the opportunity to serve.
The use of the seized hotel is for temporary use to treat Covid-19 patients, which after the pandemic, the hotel will be handed over to EFCC.
