Following the disqualification of the  Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki, by the All Progressive Congress (APC) by the screening committee to re-contest for Governorship position in Edo State. Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki has resigned from the All Progressive Congress (APC)party.

The Governor who was disqualified from the Edo state gubernatorial election, has opted for another option by resigning from the party, ” I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressive Congress (@officialAPCNG) after meeting with the Cos to MBuhari”

“We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo People and sustain good governance in the state.” Obaseki said.

Following his resignation, his deputy, followed the footsteps of his boss to do the same thing. Philip Shaibu also Resigned from the APC party.

Recall that few days ago, Obaseki visited Governor Wike of Rivers State, no one knows the outcome of their meeting, if Obaseki is joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Although Wike twitted saying ” Obaseki was disqualified by someone who doesn’t have a certificate, what an irony.”
